I went home to NY for Labor Day weekend and my nephew's 3rd Birthday. Jeremy surprised me that Saturday joining me at my Family's Labor Day BBQ at my parent's house. We had a great weekend and returned home on Sunday night. We enjoyed a quiet day at home with our dog, Tuukka, at home. I went back to work on Tuesday, September 7th. Working the closing shift at Nike was exhausting after being away 5 days. I came home from work and found Jeremy and Tuk in the family room. Jeremy asked me if I'd like a glass of wine and pulled out our nice wine glasses.
I said "Sure". While he poured me a glass of my favorite wine (White Catawba from Lakewood Wineries in NY) I went upstairs to change out of my Nike clothes. Jeremy and Tuukka came up stairs. Jeremy yelled to me to look at Tuk's collar because there was something on it. I had Tuk jump onto the couch, while Jeremy sat on the floor in front of me.
On Tuukka's collar was the ring. I looked at the ring and at Jeremy and asked, "What is that?" Jeremy smiled and said, "Do you still want to get married?" I, of course, happily said YES!
