Spring Hill's designated spot for ceremonies. Though, we can have it anywhere on the grounds. They will put up the chairs for us! Unfortunately the archway doesn't move!

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Spring Hill Lodge in South Berwick, Maine. I have gone back and forth about having the wedding and reception at the same place. I've looked into other places, but nothing is as beautiful as Spring Hill in the fall.


We will be decorating the archway with ivory window scarves and flower balls hanging on each. The aisle will be decorated with ivory window scarves as well (much cheaper than tulle!). Flower pomander balls will hang from the shepherd hooks. Originally I wanted to have flower petals line the aisle, but to save money we cut that out.

Flower Ceremony

Instead of a unity candle, or sand ceremony, we will be doing a flower ceremony. Similar to a sand ceremony, my family will have one color flower, Jeremy's will have another. At the beginning of the ceremony, family members will bring their flowers up to us to place in a vase. We will then merge the two flowers together, making a blended flower arrangement symbolizing blending our families together. We will then use this as the centerpiece for our head table!

Flower balls hung from shepherds hooks with white tulle will line the aisle. The flower colors will be 'Sangria' or wine colored to go with the girls dresses.

Programs

I will be making programs similar to this storybook idea. They are fairly easy to make on cardstock. It's the cutting of each piece that will be time consuming! I'm also considering making a fan crossword/wordsearch to deal with the heat. Those will be easy to make as well.

Hydration Station

I love the idea of having a hydration station for our guests. We will be having water, lemonanade, strawberry lemonade, and iced tea.
